Welcome to AppsAlly! Follow these simple steps to set up your first bot in just a few minutes.


πŸ›  Step 1: Create Your App

Once you sign up and log in for the first time, AppsAlly will prompt you to create your first app.

You will see a form asking for:

  • App Name – A unique name for your bot (e.g., "Task Manager Bot").

  • App Description – A short description of what your bot does.

πŸ”‘ Step 2: Enter Refresh Token

In this step, AppsAlly requires a Refresh Token to authenticate and manage your bot.

πŸ”Ή How to Get Your Refresh Token?

Follow these steps to generate your Slack Refresh Token:

  1. Click here to open the Slack Apps page.

  2. Scroll down to the App Configuration Tokens section, click on Generate Token.

  1. Choose your preferred Slack workspace and click Generate to create the token.

  1. Copy the generated Refresh Token.

  1. Paste it into the Refresh Token field below in AppsAlly.

πŸ”„ Step 3: Continue with Slack OAuth

After clicking Install App To Workspace, you will be redirected to Slack's OAuth flow to grant necessary permissions.

  1. Review the permissions requested by AppsAlly.

  2. Click Allow to complete the integration.

πŸ”” Important: AppsAlly needs these permissions to function properly within Slack. If you encounter any issues, ensure you have the necessary permissions.
